The story of Ocean Software - Gold Edition

ZZAP! Legacy Volume 2 Kickstarter and Ocean Update
6 months ago – Tue, Apr 07, 2026 at 11:44:58 AM

Hi there,

ZZAP! Legacy

We have just launched a Kickstarter to print our new ZZAP! Legacy Volume 2 book - check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zzap642021annual/zzap-legacy-volume-2-celebrating-issue-49-onwards

Ocean Book

The book has gone to print and should be back in 5-6 weeks - it is being printed in Turkey. The Backerkit survey will go out in the next couple of days - so please look out for that.

We are now working on the 64-page magazine. This is underway and should be back in the same time-frame. The good news is that Chris Urquhart did get back to me - we are looking for him to do a foreword for the magazine - Chris programmed Eskimo Eddie, Cavelon and Daley Thompson's Decathlon to name but a few.

The enamel badge has been ordered also - this also has a 5-6 week lead time - so all these items should be back around the same time. I will order the magnet this week as well. It is likely I will get the mugs done externally this time - so looking to source a good supplier.

Cheers, Chris

Signed Copies of the book...
7 months ago – Thu, Mar 12, 2026 at 02:37:02 PM

Hi there,

I have added another 50 copies of the book that will be signed - these will not have Gary Bracey's signature as he only agreed to sign the first 100 or so (pushing to 110).

Not long to go now on the campaign - thanks so much for your support.

Thanks, Chris

Hi there,

When, and if, we hit £30k, every backer will get a FREE Gold Edition Ocean fridge magnet.

I have also added the above image as a pin-badge in the add-ons along with the Ocean mug.

Thanks, Chris

Ocean Mug

Hi there,

I have added an Ocean campaign mug to the add-ons. If you would like one, please just Manage Your Pledge, reselect the tier you want then add the mug - or you can add one in Backerkit at the end of the campaign.

Thanks, Chris
